Third parties
We work with a small, named list of third parties and nothing beyond what is listed here. Cloudflare serves our pages and provides DDoS protection — it processes IP addresses as part of normal web traffic routing. Our analytics are self-hosted (Plausible, EU servers) and do not use cookies for individual tracking. Affiliate click-outs via /enter/ pass a timestamp to the operator; the operator's own privacy policy governs what happens after you land on their page.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form or email us, we collect the email address and the content of your message. Nothing else is required. Server logs, kept for 30 days, record your IP, user agent, referrer and the URL you requested — standard web-server practice. If you leave a comment on a page we also store the comment text and a display name. We do not collect names, phone numbers, financial details or any identity documents.
How we use
The email address is used only to reply to you about your enquiry — we do not add it to any newsletter, we do not share it, we do not sell it. Server logs are reviewed in aggregate (traffic patterns, broken links, abuse detection) and deleted after 30 days. Analytics data is aggregated and used to decide which review pages need updating most urgently.
Changes
If we change how we collect or use data we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top of it. For material changes (new third party, new category of data) we will put a banner on the homepage of kuki-muki.org for at least 30 days so returning visitors notice. We will not quietly change the policy and keep processing data under the old assumption.
Security
The site runs HTTPS only, with HSTS. Our editorial systems (where contact-form submissions and the review database live) are protected by two-factor authentication for every editor, encrypted backups and quarterly access reviews. We have never suffered a notifiable data breach; if we ever do, we will inform the ICO within 72 hours and the affected individuals as soon as practical.
